Soap And Co- Mineral Peeling Gel

First I just want to start by saying THANK YOU! For all the kind comments and all the love you guys have shown since I started this blog, it doesn’t go unnoticed and I really do massively appreciate it!

This product seems to be everywhere at the moment, blogs, YouTube reviews, magazines. I personally bought it from a Soap and Co shop in London and it was on offer, if it wasn’t on offer personally I wouldn’t have bought it because it was quite pricy. Soap and Co prices are not kind to the bank balance but they are extremely kind to your skin. Your skin will thank you even if your bank balance doesn’t! An important thing to remember with this product is a little goes a long way.

Directions for use were really easy as follows…

Apply the peeling gel to dry skin, once you’ve done that wait about 20 seconds and then start to massage your skin using your fingers in circular motions around your whole face avoiding your eyes and mouth, you will definitely start to see your dead skin, dirt and make up peeling off straight away. Once you are satisfied that you’ve ex-foliated enough then rinse your face with warm water. This product is designed to gently peel away dead skin, make-up and clogged dirt and it definitely does exactly that. It leaves your skin feeling smooth, hydrated and treated. It helps with blackheads and breakouts but it’s NOT an everyday treatment! Use this product about twice a week at a maximum. It’s always important to remember whenever you ex-foliate that you have opened those pores so use a gentle moisturiser to close them again otherwise they will just fill with dust and dirt and you will just end up with the same problems that you are trying to avoid.

This product is really seasonally appropriate because, for me at least, winter is a really unkind to my skin and its a real struggle to keep moisturised. I mean its the last thing you want to do when its minus degrees outside, you just want to through on that knit wear and hoodie and go! But these products are really worth trying!

I will admit that Soap & Co prices aren’t as friendly as their products and I completely understand why people don’t look into them because of the prices. I would encourage anyone interested in buying the products to actually go to a store and try and bargain deals and bundles and not pay full price if possible. BUT, I do think they are worth having!

Comment and let me know if you have seen this product around or if you have tried it?

*Added in November 2020* I have been getting some negative comments on this blog post recently and just wanted to address them- personally I don’t use this product anymore and I never repurchased it after originally buying it. This post was written many years ago.

I have heard it’s not really peeling the skin off but just balls up and that it’s a scam…
But I got this for my birthday and I tried it out…
I have psoriasis on my face and it’s particularly bad in and around my eyebrows, really flaky and dry. I usually exfoliate it and it usually ends up raw by the time I’ve removed all the skin.
I didn’t expect this to do anything due to all the reveiws stating it’s a scam and doesn’t actually exfoliate… Well I was really surprised… I gently massaged a tiny amount in to my eyebrow and it was instantly smooth and could see and feel the skin melt away! (painlessly).
So I can put my foundation on and not worry about it clogging in any dry patches! Actually love this stuff… Will definitely shop around as I know the person who got this for me paid an awful lot for it.

      Dear Roxie,

I’ve being going through all the comments but yours really touched me.
I’m happy to hear that the peeling gel works for you.
I purchased mine in Oxford street one day when, I was passing by their shop and one vendor called me and took in their shop and started trying their products..,Remember I didn’t go to Oxford for the product I just went to collect my shoes in LK Benett…and got stopped by that gentleman …
After he finished marketing, I decided to purchase the peeling gel after seeing how it cleared up my wrist ( the area where the product was tested).
Just like many of you, I first thought it was a ripped off giving the high cost of the products; and when I took it home and used it on my face the peeing gel looks like a mess, it was hard to spread it all over the face, I was disappointed, but I didn’t give up I kept on trying especially after removing my make up and after finishing exfoliating with my fingers I go in my shower and start rising it off with my soft aloe Vera sponge; after weeks I started seeing the results.
Currently My skin looks brighter and young; I’ll recommend it and would buy the peeling gel again.
      Merci Soap & Co ❤️

This is no à scam ?

No. This is not a scam. It is actually a great peeling/exfoliator. I have a mature skin and no matter how much I exfoliated, it was still looking patchy and darker especially the cheeks areas. My skin was dull.
I was in Westfield shopping center when this guy stopped me to try this product. Till now, I never heard of the Soap & Co but he tried it on my hand and it felt good so I bought the bottle for £30. He originally quoted £62 if I bought the hand cream too but I couldn’t afford it.
After I bought it, I really told myself I was stupid to have paid this for a product I have never heard of.
But from the first time I used it, I was hooked. A lot of dead skin and “gunk” ( most probably cream residue) came off my face. I used it everyday for a week, someday 2 times a day. Believe me, my skin is clear, younger looking, no more dark patches. I only use it twice a week and not much dead skin comes off. And the beauty of it is that my bottle is still nearly full. I will buy again. The guy said if I keep my receipt, I will only pay this next time.
I will try their anti ageing cream next pay day.
    I really recommend.

Of course it’s a scam! The “gunk” is called DIMETHICONE. This is NOT peeling. It is officially called PILLING, which is an undesired effect of a cheap or badly created formula.

Hello, could I use this product on my feet?
Just wondering because I struggle to make my feet smooth and soft as they always get hard as soon after I’ve done anything to them.

Omg, zero scientific analysis here on the ingredients. For those who care about what you put on your face, and would like to start educating yourselves instead of buying into whatever you see on the surface/ what’s marketed to you; here’s the ingredients label: http://www.cosdna.com/eng/review_51e5176819.html enough said. Nevertheless, thanks for this writeup, it was interesting!!
