Valentine’s Treats

When I think of Valentine’s Day along with all the obvious things like flowers and cards I also think of FOOD! (naturally) As I was lost in my food day dreams I thought of something and I simply just wanted to share this very simply and easy valentines treat you could make for a loved one this weekend.

I first got some strawberries from the local supermarket and covered them in chocolate.

I covered half in white chocolate and half in milk chocolate, I used Morrison’s own chocolate (no fancy stuff today)

Then I popped them in the fridge for a few minutes (don’t skip this step because if the chocolate is not cool enough everything else with just melt on top)

I wanted to make these look extra special so I thought of some ways that I could jazz up my chocolate covered strawberries.

For the white chocolate ones I sprayed them (yep sprayed them) in Dr Oetker EDIBLE gold shimmer spray and then left them to dry

For the milk chocolate ones I used the Cake décor Choco writers to add some white chocolate lines on top. These are super easy to use and I would definitely recommend them if you are not majorly confident with pipping. Sometimes chocolate can be harder to pipe than icing because its runnier but this makes it easy and as an added bonus there is no clean up.

They look lovely in this glass bowl I got from Morrison’s but you could display them however you like and they will still look stunning and trust me they are DELICIOUS!!

Let me know if you try this this weekend

Till next time,

Lydia
