Bonjour Paris

I was going through my photos on my phone today and found all these photos from Paris. We went to Paris the weekend before we moved to London, so it was all very hectic and living out of suitcases and boxes (only just stopped doing that this week to be fair) and just packing what we had available.

Having said that, looking back at the photos made me think of the good memories we had and I wanted to share some of those with you. We did Paris on a budget but that didn’t make it any less lovely. It was what we could afford at the time and we still made great memories.

We got the Euro Star to Paris. I was travelling after a night shift and wanted to sleep but its not an environment that facilitates that. Be warned!

On our first night, we went for a walk around Paris at sunset which was beautiful.

The buildings were beautiful and the sunset made it look DREAMY
People just going about their daily lives and I was snap snap snapping away
We forgot to bring the correct charger with us so we went into Monoprix to try and find one. We didn’t end up finding a charger but we did find some beautiful interior bits that Matt wouldn’t allow me to bring home.

On our first full day in the Paris we wanted to see the main site which is of course the Eiffel tower.

SELFIE
The Eiffel tower was as pretty in person as you see in all the movies

It’s still as pretty up close than it is far away

Around the Eiffel tower it’s SO busy! There are loads of tourists and people wanting you to buy things and its loud and crowded, so we walked up to the Palais de Chaillot and had a lovely view and we were able to sit and relax and enjoy the view. We ate breakfast and lunch from the supermarkets around the areas we were walking through. We did ALOT of walking which was a lovely way to see the city. The supermarkets are amazing! All have a bakery, fresh coffee and fresh orange juice. Loads of various options for all various types of diets.

Waiting at the bottom of the Arc de Triomphe. I notice on these trips I don’t have many photos of me. It was hot and sticky and the queue was reeeeeally long. Not my finest moment
We also queued for about 1 hour to climb up the Arc de Triomphe. This is the view from the top.
Matt at the top
We then went on a boat tour of Paris and then saw the Eiffel tower from the water.

The graffiti around Paris is amazing!!

On our last day in Paris we visited the Tuileries Garden which was definetly my favourite day of them all. I would highly highly recommend going to these gardens, they have it all.

Screen saver potential

We used the electric scooters to get around on this day, I don’t have any photos of them but I do have videos which to be honest I can’t figure out how to put in this blog. HAHA!

If you want me to put the videos up on the LifebyLyd facebook page let me know in the comments and i’ll pop them up there.

Cheeky burger and chips for fuel

We then got the Euro star home. Short but so sweet.

Loved seeing this sign on the journey home.

I know this is short and sweet but if you have any questions about our trip please comment them below and i’ll answer them
