I always find it EXTREMEMLY hard to pack my beauty essentials when I’m going away for a few days, at home I have everything laid out where it needs to be and I can pick and choose which skin care I want to use daily depending on how my skin has been that day but I can’t take everything with me when I travel, whether that is to visit parents or traveling on a holiday.
Things that I consider when choosing my travel essentials, how long I’m going to be away, what time of the year it is, what is the weather is going to be like? Will I have any time to do some pampering when away? These items will change from time to time but the core categories always stay the same. The core categories are:
Moisturiser Day
Moisturiser Night
Skincare
Fragrance
Deodorant
Hair essentials
For my day moisturiser I took the Body Shop Vitamin C skin reviver, and as you all know by now I really like this moisturiser. I love how it sits on the skin and it always makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. It’s perfect to use as a primer step under makeup as well.
For night moisturiser I had the Body Shop Vitamin E intense moisture night mask, because I know this will hydrate my skin well while I don’t have any other products available while away.
For skincare I had the Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser which I use every morning and every night as a first step cleanser, after that I used the Pixi Glow tonic or the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix daily cleansing pads and I used the Kiehls Cactus flower and Tibetan ginseng hydrating mist on top of my makeup if I wore any that day.
For fragrance I’m really loving the Estee Lauder modern muse (as you can tell because it’s almost finished) The fragrance I have my eye on next is the Paco Robanne Olympea, I sprayed this in store at boots (the tester, of course) and when I went to till the lady was complimenting me and asking what fragrance it was and as I’ve worn it throughout the day its stayed a strong smelling fragrance, which I really like in a fragrance.
I only use one deodorant and that’s the Mitchum unscented deodorant because let’s all be real, I’m a sweaty betty and need all the help I can get.
I always take one of these hair grip things with me (don’t know the proper name) wherever I go. I’m always losing them and repurchasing them over and over again. They are good for when I get out the shower or to keep my hair off my face when cleansing in the morning and at night. I use them all the time to be honest for everything. I can’t go anywhere without my trusty hairbrush, I’ve had this one for ages and just use it for brushing my hair, obviously!

You’ve inspired me to take better care of my skin!! What would you suggest I start with?

I’m no skin expert but I would always always recommend a good cleanser. Morning and night! X
